The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, held its official Freshman Orientation for the 2026 academic year. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert, Dean of the Faculty of AMS, who delivered a warm welcoming address and introduced the executive committee and department heads to the incoming students. The ceremony took place at the Emeritus Professor Dr. Chairoj Saengudom Meeting Room, 12th Floor, Building 2.

The orientation featured essential briefings and guidance to help new students navigate their university journey, including:

• Student Rules and Regulations: Presented by Associate Professor Dr. Jananya Panyamee Dhippayom, Vice Dean.
• Academic and Learning Support: Presented by Associate Professor Sainatee Pratanaphon, Vice Dean.
• Library Services: Shared by Ms. Wattanantaporn Vilairugse, Faculty Librarian.
• Student Life and Welfare: Presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Phuanjai Rattakorn, Assistant Dean, alongside staff from the Student Affairs Unit.

The morning session concluded with an energetic performance by the Cheerleader Club of the AMS Student Club.

Following the main event, the freshmen met with faculty members from their respective majors. This session provided students with key academic guidelines, insights into their future professions, and a valuable opportunity to engage in close, informal discussions with department heads and advisors for the Student ID 69 cohort.
