Dr. GANJANA LERTMEMONGKOLCHAI from the Center of Excellence in Infection and Immunity, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, was honored as a special keynote speaker at the International Symposium on Joint Prevention and Control of Key Transboundary Zoonoses, held in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, People's Republic of China, from July 30 to August 1, 2026.

Dr. GANJANA delivered a special lecture titled "Potential transboundary infections in Greater Mekong Subregion" and shared academic insights and research expertise with international scholars.

The symposium was convened in alignment with China's national biosecurity strategy and the health cooperation framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The primary objective was to strengthen collaborative mechanisms for the control, surveillance, early warning, and emergency response to transboundary infectious diseases. Furthermore, the conference aimed to deepen partnerships between China and international research institutions to enhance global public health security and biosecurity.
