Faculty members and researchers of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, received Outstanding Awards for their research presentations at "The 3rd Thailand Talent Summit 2026: Fostering Thailand's Future; Advancing Innovation and National Impact," organized by the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), held from 23–25 September 2026 at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Siriphan Kongsawasdi, a lecturer from the Department of Physical Therapy, AMS, Chiang Mai University, received the Outstanding Oral Presentation Award for her research entitled "Innovative fall risk prevention in elderly: An integrated system of wearable sensor assessment and personalized prevention strategies." Her co-researchers were Assistant Professor Dr. Kittichai Wantanajittikul, a lecturer from the Department of Radiologic Technology, AMS, Chiang Mai University, and Ms. Darunee Wiriya, PT, Head of the Physical Therapy Department, Overbrook Hospital, Chiang Rai Province.
In addition, Dr. Khin Thandar Tun, a postdoctoral researcher (funded by the Program Management Unit for Human Resources and Institutional Development, Research and Innovation – PMU-B) under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Suchart Kothan, Department of Radiologic Technology, AMS, Chiang Mai University, received the Outstanding Poster Presentation Award for the research entitled "Borophosphate glass scintillators co-doped with Gd³⁺ and Eu³⁺: Energy transfer dynamics and X-ray imaging performance."
Furthermore, Dr. Nuttawadee Intachai, a lecturer from the Department of Radiologic Technology, AMS, Chiang Mai University, presented her research in the poster session entitled "Development of novel Tb³⁺ ion doped in high-density glass for scintillation material application."
Participation in Thailand Talent Summit 2026 reflects the potential of AMS faculty members and researchers at Chiang Mai University in producing high-quality research and innovation, and in advancing knowledge toward practical applications that benefit the health sciences and society in the future.
