The Infectious Diseases and Immunology Research Cluster, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Ganjana Lertmemongkolchai and Assistant Professor Dr. Chidchamai Kewcharoenwong, together with researchers, research assistants, and doctoral students, was invited by the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center (Affiliated with Fudan University), Shanghai, People's Republic of China, for academic exchange and discussions on research collaboration, as well as to promote cooperation in infectious diseases and immunology, particularly in tuberculosis research and translational research, from 14 to 17 September 2026.

On this occasion, a mini symposium, special lectures, and presentations on research progress were also held together with experts from the Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, in Nanjing, People's Republic of China. The delegation further participated in collaboration meetings and visited a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory as well as national specialized infectious disease medical facilities in the area.

In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Ganjana Lertmemongkolchai was honored to deliver a lecture and take part in research discussions under the "One Health" concept with researchers and doctoral students at the College of Veterinary Medicine, China Agricultural University, Beijing, People's Republic of China. She also visited an integrated vaccine development laboratory and met with the editorial board of One Health Advances, a Q1 international academic journal published by BMC (BioMed Central).

These discussions mark an important step toward enhancing knowledge and integrating academic experience, expanding international collaborative networks, and paving the way for the concrete development of joint research proposals between institutions in the future.
