Assistant Professor Dr. Uten Yarach, Dr. Ratthaporn Boonsuth—faculty members from the Department of Radiologic Technology—and graduate students from the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University, participated in the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) 2025, held from May 10–15, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

The ISMRM conference is one of the world’s leading academic platforms, bringing together researchers, physicians, and experts in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) from around the globe to exchange knowledge and present the latest research innovations. Faculty and students from Chiang Mai University contributed to the conference through the following presentations:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Uten Yarach delivered two oral presentations:

    • An Efficient Signal Averaging with Model-Based Reconstruction for Meso-scale Resolution T2W GRE-EPI at 7T with High-Performance Gradients

    • Improving T2-Weighted TGSE-BLADE Liver Imaging via Model-Based Reconstruction with Self-Breathing Motion Correction

  • Dr. Ratthaporn Boonsuth presented a research topic in a Power Pitch Presentation titled:

    • Large Axon Diffusion MRI Modelling In The Sciatic Nerve In Vivo

  • Ms. Atita Suwannasak, a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Sciences, presented a Power Pitch Presentation titled:

    • Exploring SNR-Enhanced Reconstruction Techniques for Mesoscale Resolution BUDA-cEPI Diffusion MRI

  • Mr. Nontharat Tucksinapinanuchai, a master’s student in Radiological Sciences, presented a poster on:

    • Improving Low-Angular Resolution Diffusion MRI With 3D Deep Learning: A Model Assessment

This participation not only showcased the academic and research capabilities of Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences on an international stage but also provided valuable opportunities for establishing global research and academic collaborations.
