The “FOCIS Thailand Advanced Course in Basic & Clinical Immunology” was held from May 23–26, 2025, at the Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square. The course was organized through a collaboration between the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University—led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ganjana Lertmemongkolchai, Dr. Chidchamai Kewcharoenwong, and the Infectious Disease and Immunology Research Team—together with Prof. Dr. Tanapat Palaga from the Department of Microbiology, Chulalongkorn University. The course also received support from world-renowned experts such as Professor Abul K. Abbas, Dr. Asha Pillai, and Professor Shiv S. Pillai.
The training aimed to enhance in-depth knowledge of basic and clinical immunology for more than 200 participants from across Asia and Europe. It covered both theoretical foundations and clinical applications, including modern technologies and key topics such as tumor immunology, allergies, and autoimmunity. Participants engaged in knowledge exchange, panel discussions, case study analyses, research presentations through e-posters, and cultural excursions. The event was conducted in an enthusiastic atmosphere and marked a significant international achievement in the field of immunology.
