Three graduate students from the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, successfully participated in the CEP Exchange Program (China Exchange Program; International Young Talents Exchange Program in China) at The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, People's Republic of China, from March 1–31, 2026.

The participating students included:

  • Miss Moe Moe Paing – Ph.D. student in Biomedical Sciences.
  • Miss Moe Theingi and Miss Thaw Naing Zin – Master’s students in Medical Technology, Department of Medical Technology.

This exchange program is part of the established Thalassemia Collaboration between AMS CMU and The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. The program focused on advanced training and knowledge exchange regarding thalassemia screening, diagnosis, treatment, and disease control, as well as providing an immersive experience in a multicultural healthcare context.

The successful implementation of this academic collaboration was spearheaded by Professor (Distinguished) Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert, Dean of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, whose coordination continues to drive international academic excellence for the Faculty.
